‘Hij kijkt al jaren op haar gezicht en ziet er fruitsoorten in. Appels met druppels koelkastwater, ananasvormig marmer, en een glimlach in een zo fragiele boog dat enkel leen figuurschaatser hem met zijn ijzers kan tekenen.’
With poet Marjan de Ridder I worked on two spreads for literary magazine Kluger Hans. Her words inspired my illustrations and the other way around, all based on the theme ‘denkmal’ (as was the rest of the issue). You can get a copy here.
